Position Summary:
Location: Lubbock, TX
Job description
The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of Visual Edge Southwest Region products to the local customer base. This customer service-focused position is often the first impression of the Visual Edge Southwest Region team to meet internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the secure and accurate loading of products for transportation to customer locations in a courteous, professional, and polite manner
- Installation and basic key-op training of equipment at customer location
- Frequent customer service interaction for basic equipment questions
- Assists with warehouse and set up shop duties as needed
- Responsible for keeping accurate and complete delivery documentation and paperwork validation, including serial numbers, equipment IDS, and meter counts for proper distribution
- Basic troubleshooting of potential issues in the field that would need to be relayed to the Service team for follow up
- Responsible for keeping company vehicles cleaned and well-maintained
- Assist as needed and follow a daily delivery schedule and timely communication and updates from the field
- Frequent in internal field touch with Service and Operations team to ensure time commitments are met
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
- Ability to use delivery equipment including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates in a safe manner
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus
- Ability to drive at minimum, a 15′ foot box truck
- Two to three nights overnight stay.
